Here for Northumberland—Peterborough South

Bruce is passionate about government working for everyone, not just the well-heeled and well-connected. His priority has always been people and helping everyone live the good life.

Bruce’s wife grew up in Cobourg, so they knew Northumberland County was the ideal community to raise their son. They moved to Port Hope in 1999 and then to Cobourg in 2003. Bruce taught physics, general science, philosophy, and history for over thirty years, first in Toronto and then in local schools. Bruce was the IB Coordinator at Cobourg DCI East/ Cobourg Collegiate from 2007 until his retirement in 2022. Bruce coached basketball and soccer, he volunteers with his therapy dog Camus, and he is a community activist, fighting for affordable housing, human rights, electoral reform, healthcare, and workers’ rights.

By working together, Bruce believes that we can improve the lives of everyone in Northumberland-Peterborough South. We can find solutions to the housing crisis, we can fix the shortage of medical professionals in our community, and we can find ways to make life more affordable for workers and their families, for the elderly, for those unable to work- for everyone. Let’s work together!
